Eldor C. Gruetzmacher

Eldor C. Gruetzmacher, Hortonville, age 82, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2007, at his residence. Eldor was born on April 29, 1925, in Caledonia Township, son of the late Rufus and Almeda (Krueger) Gruetzmacher. On October 11, 1979, Eldor was united in marriage to Mary Bork. She preceded him in death in 2005. He spent his lifetime farming in the Township of Hortonia and also delivered seed corn to farmers in various parts of the state. Eldor worked at the American Toy Factory in Hortonville and also drove bus for 11 years for Hortonville School District. He was an active member of the Hortonia Town Board.

Eldor is survived by three daughters: Judith (Michael) Van Handel, Appleton; Beverly (Gary) Huettl, Greenville; Diane (Daniel) Sullivan, Hortonville; two sons: Ronald (Vicki) Gruetzmacher, Appleton; Kenneth (Terri) Gruetzmacher, Neenah; two brothers: Daniel and (Sue) Gruetzmacher, New London; David Gruetzmacher, Appleton; five sisters: LaVerne (Arthur) Sommer, Appleton; Ruth Pankow, New London; Carol Jane (Fred) Huebner Jr., Hortonville; Delores (Paul) Westphal, New Berlin; Sandra (Lester) Quandt, Bonduel; 12 grandchildren: Joe (Cari) Van Handel, Combined Locks; Jessica (Brett) Zitzelsberger, Appleton; Jeff (Erin) Huettl, Hortonville; Paul (Amy) Huettl, West Allis; Mark Huettl, Greenville; Amanda Gruetzmacher (fiance Daniel Ninneman), Stockbridge; Jason Gruetzmacher (special friend Malaree Zeinert) Stockbridge; Ross Gruetzmacher, Neenah; Troy Gruetzmacher, Neenah; Tara Sullivan, Hortonville; Adam Sullivan, Hortonville; Katie Sullivan, Hortonville; four great-grandchildren: Hunter, Chase, Ethan and Emily. He is further survived by four step-children, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, numerous, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Besides his parents and wife Mary, Eldor was preceded in death by a brother Harold Gruetzmacher.

Funeral services for Eldor will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in Readfield with Rev. John Brandt officiating. Burial will be in the St. John's Cemetery in Caledonia Township. Friends may call at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London on Wednesday, (TODAY) August 8, 2007, from 4-8 p.m. and directly at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
