southwest of Spring Lake

This cemetery was compiled in the 2000s by Lori McCloud.

HARWOOD- Louisa E. - died Apr. 27,1865 -aged 2 y’s, 5 mo., 19 d’s (Hand pointed up to “gone home”) Granite block - Probably a marker

        

GOFF - Mary - died Apr. 18, 1874 - aged 63 y’s, 6 m’s (Footstone M.G.)

Top of  stone - “Farewell” clasped hands
Inscription: Our mother lies underground
The dearest friend we ever found
But through the Lords unbounded love
We’ll meet again in realms above

            .

JOHNSON -  Mary Ann - dau of S.J. & M. Johnson - died July 19, 1852

This cemetery was abandoned for many years until two local men worked hard to restore it. There are likely many graves which are unmarked or markers are buried under the sod. There is an estimated 75 unmarked graves
