Located in the NW corner of NE 1/4 of SE 1/4 Section 35, Oakfield township, Fond du Lac Co. WI The cemetery is located on Kinwood Road, 1/4 mile west of Co. Hwy YY
and 2 1/2 miles south of Oakfield Village.
On March 4, 1856 Eliza Cowles and Cyrus Cowles deeded this land to the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Association, reserving two lots for themselves. The earliest grave is dated 1849. There is also a Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dodge Co. which contains graves of the Cowles family. (Deeds Vol. 7, pg. 539), Fond du Lac county, WI Fond du Lac Co.
