A BIG THANKS to all the
volunteers out there who have submitted data to help make this page possible!
You have done an awesome job! If any of you have more data about any of
these "final resting places", we'd love to create a special page (with a credit
TO YOU!) for information
contributed. Also, please visit our link to the INDEX
created
by the volunteers at the Shawano Family History Center. They have
most of these cemeteries copied and on index cards. If you know of
a location description for ANY of these cemeteries,
please email me so I can
add it. And a special THANKS to Bessie Wiskow & Dave Mass for
sending in the county cemetery map &
key index.
NOTE: The
represents the assigned number of the cemetery on the county map.
LDS FHC "46"
represents the Shawano Family History Center's number for that cemetery
in their index file.
Some of
the Shawano County Cemeteries have been photographed. Jenny H. has
photographed some in the Gresham area that are being incorporated into the
Shawano GenWeb pages. Other cemeteries that have been photographed are
listed in the US Gen Web Archive - Wisconsin pages. I have provided links
to these as they become available. They are not part of the Shawano GenWeb
site and are not searchable with our Pico Search Engine.
ALSO: Do you have
photographs of your family's headstones? If so, scan them in and send them
to me at
czaplewska@aol.com -- we'll add them to their
correct cemetery page and we'll get them up online! Remember to keep the
scans large so we'll be able to see the detail and to include the cemetery name.
Denotes entry at the Findagrave Website -- this does not mean
the ENTIRE cemetery has been walked or photographed as individual people can add
1 grave at a time. FINDAGRAVE is not associated with the GenWeb Projects
but this is well-worth checking out -- it's building a virtual cemetery
one-grave-at-a-time.
