Apr 14, 2010..The NORTHERN WATERS GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY now has a website where their meeting times, location and the meeting program are listed. This group meets the first Tuesday of each month, rotating between the libraries of Presque Isle, Bolder Junction, and Manitowish Waters with a different topic each month, based on input from members indicating their areas of interest. Speakers are made up of individual members, members from neighboring genealogical groups, and from other parts of the State.

Sept 13, 2008.. Saint Peter's Cemetery, Eagle River and Saint Germain Cemetery in Saint Germain have been transcribed by Lorene Hesselgrave Schertzl, Ruth Bacic Congleton, Bob and Bev Ginnow of the Eagle River Genealogical Society, Eagle River Wisconsin.

Wa-Swa-Goning is a "Traditional Indian Village". Visitors take a walk back in time to when the Ojibwe built wigwams and moved from area to area as the seasons changed, making articles for survival out of natural elements found in northern Wisconsin.
